MoveOn in GOP crosshairs

Now that MoveOn has become a significant fund-raiser for Democratic candidates, the GOP feels compelled to try and take them down by spending millions of dollars of their own to smear the group as "un-American." The idea is simple-- make Democratic candidates afraid to take their money by likening members of MoveOn to radical commies. Pathetic, but it's been a tried and true method of the GOP for decades, at least since the infamous "card-carrying member of the ACLU" schtick.

Demographically, we're seeing a shift toward liberalism in younger people (understandable after watching the right devolve into the party of unfettered corporatism), and crackpots like Falafel O'Reilly are more and more preaching to the over-60 set.
