Mark Shields rocks the house (plus Onward Christian whackos)
The regular Friday appearance of Mark Shields and simpering douchebag David Brooks is one of the only saving graces of NewsHour these days. Here they discuss Rove's involvement in the leak of Valerie Plame as a CIA agent. Brooks does just what you'd expect. Shields is actually concerned that this blatantly immoral act could be ignored. Crooks and Liars has the video.

BONUS: See Alabama judge Roy Moore on NOW. He's a theocrat who thinks that 'free speech' is actually a divine commandment to proselytize on behalf of Protestant Christianity. Eerie. David Brancaccio cites the Treaty of Tripoli. Awesome. Judge Moore spins it. Insane. You need only look at the writings of the Founding Fathers, children of the Enlightenment as they were, to see that they loathed the idea of a theocracy. And more than two centuries later, we still have to fight the American Taliban. This is seriously disturbing stuff-- a look into the mind of a man who, thanks to religious dogma, thinks he is utterly incapable of making a mistake. You've been warned.
