Coingate hits mainstream media............psych.
Not everyone was pleased to see Bush [in Columbus Thursday], NBC 4 reported. Dozen of protesters chanted, "Hey, hey, ho, ho, George Bush has got to go." The protesters gathered outside the Ohio State Highway Patrol building.
The group was protesting the Patriot Act, Social Security and "Coingate," the scandal involving the Bureau of Workers' Compensation's millions of missing dollars due to a rare coin investment. Bush returned campaign funds from Ohio Republican Tom Noe, who is at the center of the state investigation concerning the BWC's coin investment.
Oh. . . . two sentences and a misleading statement in an unrelated story. Never mind. For those of us who aren't journalists, tt takes about fifteen seconds online to find out that Bush returned $4,000 of the over $100,000 raised for him by Noe, who is a "Bush Pioneer."
