ABC living in fear of conservatives
You might remember the to-do over several networks refusing to air a commercial by the United Church of Christ, last fall. It was "too controversial" in its depiction of ostensible homosexuals attending services.
A spokesperson for ABC stated that "The network doesn't take advertising from religious groups. It's a long-standing policy."
Oops. They've forgotten their own long-standing policy by airing an ad from religious group Focus on the Family, headed by Jim "SpongeBob GayPants" Dobson.
So, they rejected an ad calling for unity between Americans, but accepted cash from a group whose mission statement includes this tidbit: "disseminating the Gospel of Jesus Christ to as many people as possible." I'm going to go out on a limb and say that makes them a religious group.
