Tasteless jokes are like farts-- you don't mind your own.
Digby does a fine job of catching the neo-fascists of the Republicans being 100% hypocritical. Hardly news, but it should give you a laugh.
Last fall, Whoopi Goldberg made a crack about the name 'Bush' at a Democratic fund-raiser. The right immediately went into a foam-mouthed fury, tossing around words like "poison," "filth," "obscene," "vulgar." The GOP demanded an apology from Kerry(!) for this. You know, because decadent liberals are trying to destory society with their dirty jokes.
Last weekend, Laura Bush referred to the same guy as jerking off a horse. This, of course, is good-natured fun-- and it's the lliberals who are uptight prudes.
