Story round-up
Aside from articles on Cheney's mishap over the weekend, there was surprisingly little out there on the blogosphere yesterday. Except for bad news, of course, with Paul Hackett officially withdrawing from this year's elections, more disturbing news about the coming deficits, etc. Even the Cheney story took some unpleasant turns, as his hapless victim suffered some heart trouble and new questions arose over the incident increasingly appearing to be a cover-up by the veep and his crew.
But here are a few stories to get rolling again:
White House "livid" about Cheney's non-reaction to hunting incident. (This just in: Cheney is going to appear on Brit Hume's Faux News show this evening to "come clean." I'm sure it'll be a very hard-hitting interview.)
Ann Coulter voted in the wrong precinct last week. She must have asked a Republican for directions. They love it when people's votes don't count in Florida. Unfortunately for her, this is a felony.
New claims that wiretap program bigger than previously suspected. White House leaning on GOP Congressmen to drop calls for investigation. "Seperate and equal" branches of government, anyone?
How many terrorists are involved in the wiretapping program? According to the WaPo, a mere 325,000. I'm a bit skeptical.
