Co-opting the Pope

Disturbing stuff. Some of the most high-profile right-wing hacks are using the death of Pope John Paul II to shore up support for the Iraq war. Which seems odd when you consider the fact that the Pope sent a letter to Bush in 2003 calling the Iraq war "immoral, illegal, [and] unjust."

That won't stop them, of course, but will hopefully help in the fight to expose these frauds for the propagandists they are. And I'd hate to see what this gets them on Judgment Day....
