More right-wing victim culture

The Beer Belly Brigade, aka the Minuteman Project, is a freak show. These 'patriots' count among their ranks white supremacists and felons. And as they patrol the border and inspire embarrassing stories in the international news media, they're also making life pretty difficult for the Border Patrol (according to the Fox News article above) by setting off sensors that force government officials to chase after them. Think prank calls to 911.

Yep. A bunch of overgrown kids playing soldier with their beloved guns and making an underfunded system even worse. But wait! Last night on Hannity & Colmes, a member of the group denied the allegation-- placing the blame for tripping sensors squarely on the shoulders of... the ACLU. Check out the Video.

Who knows? Maybe the media focus on religious kooks in Florida and home-grown commandos in Arizona-- both staunch supporters of the neo-fascists-- will make more Americans feel nervous about the current state of the government. My fingers are crossed.
