Another Iraqi ringer-- sans purple finger

As Cindy Sheehan's efforts garner increasing attention, the anti-Cindy protest has increased in number, too. Including an Iraqi women who drove to Texas "all the way from Washington, D.C." who wanted America to know what a resounding success the war in Iraq is, and how beloved America is on the ground there. Fortunately, she was able to voice her objections to Mrs. Sheehan's mission on TV's improbably-titled "Hardball." Good for them, showing a genuine voice from the opposition.

Wait-- Washington, D.C.? Some progressive bloggers out there decided to look into "May Hasan Lamotte." What did the intensive research with a complex journalistic tool called "Google" reveal?

She's the wife of a Voice of America employee. What's Voice of America? A government-funded propaganda effort. So propagandistic, in fact, that it's illegal to disseminate their product in the US. Ostensibly because that would be the government lying to its own citizens. Hubby Greg Lamotte writes propa.... errrr, 'news reports' for VOA.

To paraphrase Jon Stewart, MSNBC once again demonstrates why they don't deserve all of their letters. And speaking of letters, why not write to Hardball and ask them what gives?
