The rise and fall of... who?
Jeanine Pirro was floated as the one to challenge Hillary Clinton for her Senate seat in New York next year, declaring her candidacy last week. Rush Limbaugh breathlessly stated on the 9th that Pirro shouldn't be underestimated as a candidate.
Then it turned out that Pirro's husband is doing time. She fumbled for half a minute while reading her own speech (she was missing a page-- probably stolen by one of Clinton's secret commandos), and she isn't sufficiently right-wing on social issues.
Today, one week after Rush's bold prediction, Pirro's rising star has sort of gone all cold and lifeless. But she well-known for a week. That's something.
