When I bite an apple, the worm better watch out for itself!

Yesterday I wrote a post on the GOP's betrayal of American troops. Here's a little supporting evidence. Think of it as Exhibit C.

Powerline is one of the major right-wing blogs. In fact, Time magazine inexplicably named it their 'blog of the year' in 2004, in spite of the fact that Powerline bigwigs were being funded by right-wing politicians and their PACs.

Here's what one of those bigwigs had to say about Corporal Travis Bruce, killed in Iraq by a rocket-propelled grenade, from Think Progress:

“First it was body armor, then armored vehicles,” Hinderaker complained. “Now it’s ‘immoral’ that our soldiers don’t have enough sandbags. Am I missing something, or is this ludicrous on its face? I can understand a soldier in Iraq being short of armor. But sand?” He continues: “It is up to soldiers in the field to protect themselves. If they want more sandbags, they should get more sandbags, as Cpl. Bruce apparently did.”

What a patriot. Truly a representative of the 21st century GOP, and one of the most prominent 'conservative' bloggers.
