Two evil birds, one stone.

It's been a while since I've taken a potshot at Wal-Mart. As I've said before, I didn't really have a problem with the company under founder Sam Walton. He seemed genuinely interested in using the store to improve the American economy, with his made in America, sold in America philosophy. Sounds like a nice way to create jobs. Then he died, and the hogs lined up at the trough. The new philosophy seems to be made in foreign sweat shops (it's been reported that as much as 70% of Wal-Mart products are now made abroad), sold to the poor. And it's been a recipe for the loss of good America jobs and replacing them with low-paying work with no benefits.

But there's a bonus here-- it turns out that twisted reactionary Rick Santorum has been on the dole from Wal-Mart for years now. In fact, when he took his recent trip to Florida to cash in on the Schiavo mess-- and raise $250,000 from Floridians-- he even flew on a Wal-Mart corporate jet.
