Laura Bush: 'Disgusting.'

She isn't talking about the federal response to Katrina. She isn't talking about how she referred to hurricane Katrina as "Corina" more than a week after New Orleans was destroyed. She isn't talking about the thousands of people still living in the deadly toxic sludge covering New Orleans like post-apocalyptic death gravy. She isn't talking about her mother-in-law saying that it's "scary" that evacuees are considering getting on with their lives in Texas, or suggesting that they're better off after the catastrophe. She isn't talking about Tom DeLay asking evacuees if they're "having fun."

She's talking about the suggestion by rap artist Kanye West that "President Bush doesn't care about black people."

She's just offering the latest entry in this administration's "let them eat cake" response to this waking nightmare.
