There's plenty wrong with Kansas
Kansas has been going off the deep end at the same speed as the neo-fascists. Their state attorney general is a looney anti-choice advocate who's abusing his post to force women's health clinics to turn over records of women who've had abortions. Why? He claims that he's asked for the reports of anyone under sixteen so that he can pursue statutory rape investigations. The number of women aged under fourteen to have records turned over? Zero. The number of records requested from hospitals? Zero.
Senator Schumer has long been tireless shill for this administration's policies.
And now Senator Brownback makes blog headlines with this sentence on Face the Nation (explaining his opposition to stem cell research):
"This will be one of, I believe, the first time [sic] we've ever used taxpayer money to pay for the intentional destruction of human life and that's what this does."
