The GOP-- party of good ol' family values and civility-- wasted no time in responding to the death of Peter Jennings with words of condolence and compassion. Yes, of course I'm kidding! They immediately went to work accusing the deceased newsman of being an evil liberal hack.

David Horowitz, former Leninist turned neo-fascist, had his own take on Jennings' legacy: he "did considerable damage to the cause of civilization and human deceny [sic]."

That's no mean feat for a guy who sat at a desk reading from a teleprompter.
