Another take on Wilson

I've been a long-time reader of the Daily Howler, and their post today certainly merits a link. It's highly critical of Joe Wilson's history in the Niger/Iraq story, and points out that he might not be the hapless victim much of the left has taken him to be.

Definitely worth a read-- after all, the whole point is that we're not like the right-wing with their willingness to swallow comforting fibs. What it doesn't talk much about is the issue of Rove's leak. Fair enough, the piece is about what it claims to be about: Wilson.

Interesting to note, the right-wing attacks on Wilson don't really have much of anything to do with the questions the Howler raises, either.

UPDATE: I had the wrong link on this story. That's been fixed. I should also mention that this piece doesn't have anything to do with Rove. It just points out that Wilson might not be a great candidate for liberal beatification.
