Coingate needs to hit the national media

OhioDem1 continues to keep me informed on this story, which I appreciate (maybe I should go the way of the big blogs and make this site a community effort?). But the mainstream media isn't saying word one about this tragic scheme that cost taxpayers $250 million and hints at corruption permeating the highest levels of Ohio's state government: the governor, the Attorney General, and the Secretary of State, to name just three.

And every once in a while, I make an effort to conduct a little test-- to see what the news is all about in the non-blogging community. So I asked a few people if they were familiar with Coingate. No one was. Then I searched CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News for 'Coingate.' Nothing. The story just isn't being reported outside of Ohio.

But in Ohio, it's making huge waves that cross party lines. Again thanks to OD1 comes the editorial linked to above, from "the most Republican newspaper in the state," the Cincinatti Enquirer. They're throwing their lot in with the Democrats on this issue.
