Iowa Congressman Steve King took to the House floor with his science fair project Tuesday:
And he's earned a little negative press for pointing out that the (razor?) wire wouldn't be charged with enough electricity to actually kill anybody, so what's the big deal? "We do it to livestock all the time," he asserted.
Think Progress has the video, but I'd really love to know what was going through the guy's mind as he decided a scale model of a steel fence topped with electrified wire would really dazzle everyone in the House. Maybe visions of tall steel plates emblazoned with "Copyright Steve King 2006" running all the way across the border.
I thought the idea of a 3,000-mile wall was too stupid for even the current crop of Republicans. Wrong again.
