What would we do without the Daily Show? Crooks & Liars has a clip of their take on the nomination of Major General Michael Hayden this week, complete with George W. Bush's assessments of each man as a potential head of the CIA.
Bush on Goss: "He's the right man to lead this important agency at this critical moment in our nation's history."
Bush on Hayden: "He's the right man to lead the CIA at this critical moment in our nation's history."
Stewart also points out Bush's decidedly toned-down analysis of Porter Goss' achievements at the CIA: "that's a tough job, and he's led ably." Apparently he was a few notches below Michael Brown's FEMA.
