It's official: DeLay steps aside

This just in. Tom DeLay has stepped down from his position as House Majority Leader. His temporary replacement, the almost-as-corrupt Roy Blunt of my home state of Missouri, is expected to run for the position. This could be a great opportunity for House Republicans to elect someone who isn't tainted by scandal. On the other hand, it might serve to demonstrate just how rotten the party is. Time will tell.
