Republican Youth Inaction
This is well worth spending some time with. Some college-age Republican runs a blog in which he excoriates liberals as "pot-smokin' hippies," terrorists, closet Muslims(?), etc. After all, we're opposed to the war in Iraq.
Then along comes Operation: Yellow Elephant, which is devoting itself to heaping scorn and ridicule on young, pro-war Republicans. Ostensibly, it's to encourage them to enlist. That won't happen, as they regard themselves as too important to die in a war (there's money to be made!).
So, this would-be American aristocrat boasts of his courage and patriotism with the aforementioned rant against liberals. Only this particular bit of smart-assed Coulteristic chest-thumping didn't go unnoticed. Scores of liberal veterans wrote in to take the little whippersnapper to task. Defenders were-- not having a leg to stand on in this question of morality-- very, very few in number.
Hopefully kids like the host of this blog will demonstrate to America the moral poverty of the Republican party, and the party will be forced to return to honesty, accountability, and equality. But don't hold your breath waiting.
His website seems to be down for the moment. Expect him to re-emerge in a while with breathless accounts of liberal madmen threatening his life. That way he won't have to take a stand for the war he supports, but he'll still be able to claim that he's a tough guy, who's got the 'nads to defy violent liberals. Pitiful, but all too predictable.
UPDATE: Couldn't resist tossing a few of my own slings and arrows. Just look for recent (as of Friday evening) posts by Matt Sandwich on the site.
