Much of madness, and more of sin

When Crooks and Liars had a 'Trading Spouses' video clip posted as 'truly scary,' I scoffed. Trashy, probably good for some chuckles, you know. But scary? As a matter of fact, it is pretty scary.

Here's the-- ahem-- skinny on what happens. One of the switched-out wives returns home and immediately has a high-intensity freakout on the evil family with which she was forced to live. Her family is stunned to find themselves facing accusations of consorting with witches in her absence, although they seem to have just had a decent time with their 'new mom.'

I have one word for the self-proclaimed "spiritual warrior": gluttony. And a piece of advice: figure out the difference between Christian theology and Star Wars.

Naturally, since Fox is all about evil, they would've intentionally selected a woman likely to put on a show like this in the name of ratings. But that doesn't make it any less disturbing. And the rest of her family seem to be really nice folks.

I just noticed that C&L added another link to their site, which is to an eBay auction featuring the woman in question-- and apparently her continuing road to fame, sideshow style.
